Digital Photographic Competition

The Annual Photographic Competition has been a highlight in the Club's meeting programme for many years. The advent of digital photography has lead to a dramatic increase in the quality of images submitted each year. It is now very much in the hands of the photographer to look for new ways of capturing wildlife action and behaviour, or capturing a still life in the best light.

 Since 2015 members have competed for the Graham Soden Shield. This is awarded to the best overall image selected from each of the category winners and chosen by members on the night of the competition. Graham was a long-standing member of the Northants Bird Club who sadly lost his fight with illness in October 2015.
