Irthlingborough Housing Development Petition

Hello

It seems there is no stopping the succession of road enhancements and new housing and industrial units (often massive warehouses) springing up all around us in sunny Northamptonshire. Rapidly it seems that this small county is falling to developers on all sides and good habitat and associated wildlife is feeling even more of a squeeze.

Below is a link associated with a proposed housing development at Irthlingborough which will be adjacent to the Irthlingborough Lakes and Meadows Reserve. A petition on this link provides an opportunity of signing against this development, one of the reasons cited being a negative impact on the environment and immediate habitat.

Please click on the link or cut and paste in to your web browser and sign if you wish to record an objection to the proposal.

Thank-you

Neil M

Damselfly hatching.

Following on from David Ardens garden reserve, as there is a lull in birds I thought members may be interested in a short sequence of a damselfly emergence .

Images taken by Clive Bowley at a mass emergence at Sywell Reservoir recently.

A nymph crawling out of the water to breath air.

Thank you for the images Clive.
