Damselfly hatching.

Following on from David Ardens garden reserve, as there is a lull in birds I thought members may be interested in a short sequence of a damselfly emergence .

Images taken by Clive Bowley at a mass emergence at Sywell Reservoir recently.

A nymph crawling out of the water to breath air.
Metamorphosis having taken place a Damselfly emerges
A teneral waits to harden up to begin its new life.

Thank you for the images Clive.
